Everyone is talking "Millennium".
Van-Daaz is talking... transmillenium.
In fact, it is all about transmillenium, transplanetary gem-space-odyssey...!
Throughout history the concept of time, calendars and their main events and milestones have been conceived, calculated and maintained for millennia (no pan intended...) based on celestial observations. Scholars of all ancient civilizations, from Ancient Summerian and Akkadian to Assyrian, Babylonian, Egyptian, Chinese, Indian--in short, of all ancient civilizations, observed the skies for signs of change and cyclicality, and created tabulations marking the very concept of passing time based on the calculations emerging from those observations.
Major calendar events have always been associated with the movement of the celestial bodies and major celestial events. When such major events approach and transpire, be it a turn of century, much more so a turn of millennium, man is instinctively reminded of his place in space & time, the depth of those concepts and our civilization's place and time in the universe and in its cosmic history.
It is little wonder, therefore, that Van-Daaz, in the pioneering spirit characteristic already of its early embarking on Internet loose diamond trading (one of the world's first two online diamond dealerships--on the "Web" since 1995) has adopted unique celestial themes to mark the coming turn of millennia.
"Celestial Themes?" you are asking, "what is that all about?". Indeed, a puzzling description, albeit pertinent, as just shown and as is to be further elaborated in a moment...
The details of our interplanetary diamond mission will, for now, remain a mystery, until our approaching official unveiling (they account for the revolving white gem in the heading, above...).
However, our other interplanetary gem odyssey is now ready to be unveiled and publicly offered!
What could be even more precious, rarer and harder to come-by than diamonds one of the hardest gems to come by on earth?
The answer is: Extra terrestrial Gems! Gems from outer space. Amazingly enough, such astounding gems do exist and are offered now by Van-Daaz. Their number and sizes are limited, which comes with the (extra-terrestrial-) territory, and which renders them so special, unique & rare. The gemstone is Perodit, a beautiful green-yellowish gem, known also as Olivine (for its color characteristics, no doubt--now you know why a revolving green gem appears in the heading...). The source of this precious Perodit is the Esquel meteorite, found in 1951 in Argentine and believed to have originated in the Asteroid Belt somewhere between Mars and Jupiter... a true transplanetary, transmillennia time traveler... Would there be a better reminder of the celestial bodies & motions underpinning the change of millennia...? Limited number of Olivine "chunks" contained in the Esquel were faceted into variety of shapes: round, oval and marquise brilliant cuts, stepped emerald and square cuts. A sample of these Perodit gems, of the very same Esquel meteorite origin has been examined by Gemologists of the GIA laboratory, and described in an article in the GIA's review "Gems & Gemology". Van-Daaz's Interplanetary Peridot Gems are shipped with a Certificate of Authenticity of Origin (in fact, regardless of this measure--most of theESquel Perodit bear typical marks and inclusions unknown in terrestrial Perodit), a copy of the article about them in the GIA's very own "Gems & Gemology" and a special Transmillennia Commemorative Certificate. You are invited to read about this most precious of all gems (press "About meteoritic Peridot" above) and to visit their lot (select "Interplanetary Peridot Lot").
